Styling ideas? Empty Styling ideas?

Hi everyone. I've been lurking on this forum for a long time, but this is my first official post. I received this little tree today and am looking forward to working on it in the spring. I'd love some styling ideas and pot suggestions. The tree has a long way to go, but I think it's off to a good start.

Purely from the one picture.......... I would air layer as it looks like there is some serious inverse taper. For comments on the canopy I'll wait for more pictures.
