Informal Upright Larch Progression
This American Larch is my Avatar. Here is it's progression going back to '08. I collected this tree about 10 years ago. About 6 years ago it blew off it's stand and the top broke off. I regre a new crown from a side branch.
It was put in it's present pot in '09, is shown in spring of this year and again this morning in full fall color. This tree was in the US National exhibition last year.

Great progression, lovely Larch with wonderful Nebari.
The pot could be a little more soft and elegant, it's too heavy to my taste.

Very fortunate you are to hang with such foliate shedding friends; am an advocate for anything native and think this specieces is most beautiful, i do believe i am under the cut off line to chill with one myself tho. Thanks for sharing, powerful tree.

Very nice. Larch are very good to work with for bonsai - both the branches and bark develop quite quickly. They are also very tolerant of cold. Should we promote them more for beginners in the cooler climates where they will thrive?
