My one and only pine. It is a native in the SE US. 8 inches from the pot rim.

That's a nice little tree Jim, and I really like the movement in the trunk.  I would love to get one of these someday, but I haven't found one (yet) that interests me enough to dig up.  How long have you been working with this tree?  Did you collect it?

Yes.  I collected it.  Seedlings pop up everywhere on my little farm.  I keep tabs on those along the edges of the woods, where they bend out to get light and when this one got about the thickness of a pencil I lifted it.  It sat in a small nursery pot for a few years while I helped the movement out with a little wire and pruned branches.  It went into a crescent pot about 3 years ago, but I just don't LIKE those kinds of pots and I moved it to this one last winter.  I have an unglazed pot it will go into eventually, I think.  I added the shari a few weeks ago.
