return of the salmon
brooks falls is a wonderous place of sockeye salmon traversing the falls to complete the cycle, while bears prepare to store winter needs by catching and consuming as many as they can.
My brother just returned from a photo shoot there and inspired me to build a toko to acknowledge the event
in the northwest (alaska).
The pine is local limber, reeds and waterplants from the kusamono, and of course the sumi-e ink of a bear fishing in the falls.

Woe Bro! I think your dead on, Bulls eye!, absolutely seen as a well driven nail!...
I can hear the rushing waterfall and smell the damp air! standing at the edge of the board river.
Feel my hair standing on end from fear! while watching the large grizzly bears arriving to feed!...
all the while praying not on me or others with me on river trip during the dangerous salmon run time.
I can feel the cold weather and then of course season intended by your scroll!, which is a rule!...
You have arrived my friend! Tokonoma display shows your willingness to apply effort! to learn this art well!
and not just change it to fit whatever you have handing or any possible lack of commitment...

Definitely your best to date. All pieces are balanced and harmonious.
I especially love the karakusa (arabesque) on your scroll....
