Lookin good! Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking I read somewhere that you're only a few years into the art? Either way, you definitely have a good eye and a good amount of talent. You got some great well balanced movement from what looked like a straight stick in the first couple pics.

Thanks Mike ,I appreciate your comments. I have been growing for a few years now but only seriously for the last 6 years . The last few years i have felt that i'm getting the hang of it .

Re: One of my Larch
Hello, Smithy!
Nice going larch!
May I ask a question?... Well, I think you could have opted for keeping the jin a little higher above the only branch, couldn't you? I'm interested in understanding the way that you have decided about it (beginner I am, may I remind you
)
Thank you.

Looking good, Smithy. That's certainly come on from that straight, boring stick that it was when you got it. The only thing that doesn't look right to me now is the top two parrallel branches. I would wire one of them up into a new leader and then grow a new side branch off that.

Alexandra - yes the jin could have been higher . It has been higher and slowly been removed over time as i decided it was n't what i wanted. I guess its just personnal taste and every way is right.
Lee- Thats as high as i want the tree to be and that will now become the crown. They were both needed there also to fill spaces were as it would have felt unbalanced . Its just how this one happened and i liked it so it stayed like it.

Thanks Tom and Tona .
The pot was from Tony Remington. I really like his pots.

nice job
pity for the jin though, I would have kept it, now the bending is a bit too soft for such a tortured trunk imo.
