Does anyone have any idea what might be going on. I bought the tree this late winter at a nursery. I was and is really root bound .... since it was late I didn't want to cut on the roots so I just transplanted into a larger pot with Mirical gro potting soil... with out disturbing the roots.... I have been useing a moisture meter on it to see whats going on and around the original root ball shows dry even when the outer soil show it's fine.. I don't see or I have found any bugs.

It sounds like it's totally compacted at the root ball since you're not reading any moisture there. Those leaves look completely scorched...they're not getting any moisture. If you lift it out of the pot, I'm willing to bet that you've got a solid, hard mass of compacted dirt and roots.

I suggest you take it out of the pot, bang the root ball loose, and put it in the ground for a year or two.

Iris has the right solution. In Louisiana, however, I'd add, put it in th shade, or at lest part shade (afternoon).

Thank you, I'm out of available space to put into the ground do you think into a larger nursery pot with quality soil would be an ok alternative?

If that's the best you can do, sure.
