Announcement:
Bonsai master Min Hsuan Lo arrives to Israel, May 2012
Introduction:
Lo was born in 1956 in Central bonsai garden. The family bonsai nursery was built by
his father in 1947. As a child Lo was at his father side learning the art of bonsai. After
graduating from the University in Chinese literature department Lo returned home to
create bonsai.
He began teaching bonsai in Taiwan in 1992. In 2001 he started bonsai teaching in Ken
Kuo Technical University and in 2004, he became the bonsai teacher in Pei Tou
Community University.
Lo was one of the founders of TBCA (Taiwan Bonsai Creators Association) in 1998,
and he is currently the Chairman. TBCA is the most active & powerful bonsai
association in Taiwan, and every member should pass a serious bonsai competition.
From 1997 Lo had traveled to Malaysia, The Philippines, South Africa, India, USA,
China, Puerto Rico, Indonesia, and Italy for bonsai demonstrations, lectures,
workshops and competitions.
Major accomplishments:
 MIN HSUAN LO received the grand prize of the JAL world bonsai contest in 1999,
and he has won countless other honors since , that’s include Ficus, Juniper,
Chinese pistachio, Mini Size bonsai & Deciduous tree.
 BCI artist ,writer & photographer’s award in 2007.
 TBCA grand prize, CERTRE grand prize,
 ART bonsai award grand prize in 2008.
 Chief operation of Asia-Pacific Bonsai & suiseki Convention 2009 in Taiwan.
Lo is famous for the so called “LO’S STYLE”, with lots of vertical curves appears the old
huge tree. This unique style is set up in the nature old tree came from the field
combined with the beauty line from the Chinese Calligraphy , Painting, and life
Philosophy of ancient Chinese philosophers.
Events – at Bonsai Art nursery, Kfar Haroe, Israel:
1. Bonsai demonstration
Date: Friday May 11 2012, 10:00AM-1:00PM
Entrance fee: 80 Israeli shekels
2. Bonsai workshops
Dates of workshops:
1) Sun. May 13 2012 8:30AM-5PM
2) Mon. May 14 2012 8:30AM-5PM
3) Tue. May 15 2012 8:30AM-5PM
4) Thu. May 17 2012 8:30AM-5PM
Entrance fee: 580 Israeli shekels per 1 workshop, including lunch and
entrance to the bonsai demonstration scheduled for Fri. May
11 2012
