i never seen such a mature sawara.
Impressive tree.
Can you say something about the maintanance of the Boulevard cypress,
i would love to learn more?

UPDATE 12/3/2013

UPDATE 12/3/2013

until today, this tree look good health but with strong canopy... the air and light can't go in side well. some foliage at inner parts start to die back.

Yesterday, I have working on thining - wireing - and turn unused branches to jin. I hope it's will backbud soon Very Happy

Hello Pongsatorn,
Regular thinning is indeed necessary with Sawara, specially in the top
mine never showed any backbudding.
I see you did not shortened the remaining shoots,
do you get that way a better result with new side shoots-branching
or would it weaken the tree to much?

I'm did not know before that this specie can not back bud, Thank you.
I try to pinch it before but it is look like not grow well, how do you shotened them?.

Cut about 2/3 of the green, but in the lower part of the tree only half
and leave always green on a branch otherwise you loose that branch.
Give good feeding and water because they can grow strongly.
