Another One Seed juniper collected this past week

Massive, if the fence wasn't in the background it would look like a giant tree.

Wouldn't mind seeing more of the tree though.

Can we get a picture from a little farther away so we can see the whole tree ?

The CA trip is in April for the 55th Aniversary CA Federation Iron Men of Naka Convention. I sent the photo out to see if there was any interest so now I will send more photos. Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you. Frank

If you mean 5 years to root enhance before I collected it - you are right. I'll send another full size photo later.

I identify one major root (1 inch or bigger) an cut it at the bottom of the trunk each year and backfill the hole with lava and pumice and mulch from around the base of other close by junipers down to about 18 inches and do so each year until I do not find any new large roots. I then get back to the trees and water and ferlilize as often as I can until the tree develops a wole new set of root under the base of the tree which would be about the size of the eventual pot it would go in.



this One Seed tree is 450 years old, 36 inches tall and 6 inches at the base, before it's first reduction of folliage.
