HAs anyone seen this before

I bought a tree the other day that had this stamped into the top of the edge of the pot. I've never seen that before has anyone else. Can anyone translate?

I have an OLD Yamaaki cascade pot imported back in the 60's that has the chop on the outside above a foot. Apparently there wasn't enough room on the bottom.

I'd like to see a shot of the whole pot, I bet it's Chinese. I've seen this before with Chinese pots, but I don't know the reason or significance. Is it stamped on the bottom too?

Shot was off focus, can you post a better pic? That is interesting.

I've got a class this morning but I'll post better photo's this afternoon. I need to clean the mud off the bottom( the tree was apparently sitting on the ground ) to see about anything there.

I have a couple of pots that I know are Chinese that have chops on the rim, but none are more than two or three characters, nothing this long.
