Hello everyone

I have this collected Buxus about 2 years and this January I decided transplant to see the rest of base how covered for the soil.

The question for me at this moment as, what front to chose, to show the best of the tree...make the qualities come up and disguise the defects.

So I need new and clean eyes to see the different aspects of the 2 possibles front, pros and cons of each one...
I trust in your wise opinion... Surprised

virtuals are welcome Very Happy

Hi,

Ed: I like your way to think this plant, but a little bite small comparing with the massive trunk's...what is your opinion about it?

jim: Its just one plant, twin trunk's...not separated

oshu: thanks about your nice comment...Wink

Hi Viriato,

your material looks interesting. the two trunks in one base looks not ordinary, so, my idea for your tree should also look not too common...
here is sketch for your tree.

there is the start of a great raft there

Buxus yamadori Img_2910

the rafting branch can be grown as long as you like and more trunks trained up from it

cheers Marcus

Since the shorter (subordinate) trunk is the fatter one, the tree will always be unbalanced. Seems fixable though as the tree already features big holes and scars. I'd carve the shorter trunk to make a big hollow to match the taller trunk and also to create taper in the upper portion. Then I'd rotate the tree to make the lower trunk a branch.

The smaller trunk being thicker doesn't bother me at all. I think the tree looks well ballanced and has great potential.

Woouuuw Rob, what a virtual!! cheers cheers cheers !

Nice detail in the ramification, and all the construction...and I like a lot your idea to rotate a little bit the tree to the right...seams much more balanced.

I lee...have a great potential, but it is still a tree with difficult particularities.
I like difficult trees, because they constitute a challenge to the intellect ... and makes me think how truly create harmony
