Christmas bonsai

If you got a bonsai -- especially a surprise bonsai -- for Christmas, please post your questions here. If you have a juniper that is turning brown, we can at least commiserate.

I know it shouldn't be but I find this funny (morbid?).

Christmas Bonsai

Post  bonsaisr on Mon Dec 26, 2011 6:44 pm

Every January our club (Bonsai Club of Central New York) hosts a free clinic for anyone who received a gift bonsai. A few people usually show up. Occasionally we get a new member. As you may well imagine, most of the time we never hear from them again.
When I get an e-mail inquiry about buying someone a bonsai, I send the inquirer Jim Lewis' article "Bonsai for the Holidays?" That usually works.
