Flowering quince Empty Flowering quince

We've had quite a mild winter thus far here in Western Kentucky which has induced my flowering quince to bloom a bit earlier than usual. It's a nice Christmas Present !!!! Thought I'd just share it with you and see if you agree with the pot selection that I've made for it.

As a quince nut myself, I like to find more of mine displayed in a pot that shows a complimentary color. I like the style of the pot you've selected, tho after a few years it is often rough digging out packed roots from this depth of style. Tho I have dozens of japanese flowering quinces and two chinese, my absolute favs are chojubai. most will tell you there are two colors in chojubai red and white, but there is now a new sport, in a true orange. diehard fanatics always turn their nose up on anything NOT red when it comes to this dwarf quince. hard to argue with them as their blooms and leaves tend to be much smaller than the other two colors. here's a pic of an old one with mature bark; Leaves are about the size of a fingernail on the little finger Very Happy From Ryan Neil's collection
