My first Kosen pot

Post  Guest on Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:45 pm

I would like to share my first Heian Kosen pot with all you Japanese pot enthusiasts. After looking at a lot of really good Heian Kosen pots, I finally got one. I bought this one from my bonsai mentor Matt.

Hi Suburbia

It is a very nice pot Smile
Do you have a tree waiting for the pot, or did you just have to have it Smile
Kind regards Yvonne

I have a great stocky chuhin sized elm for it. But it won't get in this pot for another two years... I am working on nebari development.

Hello Suburbia

How old is this pot? Is it woodfired?

Kind regards
Martin

Sorry for the late response. This is a relatively newer pot, probably around 4 years old. I am not sure if Kousen's pots are wood-fired... maybe an expert like Ryan can tell.
