Over-Wintering Olive

I plan to over-winter my olive in an unheated, dark garage. Should I defoliate it beforehand?

I would not defoliate it because it would cause it to want to put out new growth right at the wrong time. I have kept olive in cool window indoors for the winter with good results. I'm sure as long as it stays above 40 deg your probably ok. Hope this helps.
