Thanks Todd!
A couple more years of branch refinement, perhaps.

Guess what my avatar bonsai says?: Come on Mr. Bonsaist (or Mr. Ellis hehehe), Try to cut and wire me again and make a claw mark on your A_s! and I'll bite your finger off. Razz

Thank you John for the kind words!
The tree at the beginning is literally falling down the left side and I placed a rock on the left to prevent it from leaning further, but now that the roots are well established the tree can carry its own weight now. I thought the design would fail.

Hi Robert,

Thanks a lot!

Do you have any suggestion for a suiting pot or slab?
I find the design still too rigid. probably because of the pot.

Hi Jun,

I think the pot is OK, ofcourse it would be better if you can find a suitable slab.
In my opinion, what you need to improve is the ramification structure, the main branches line should be strengthen to emphasize the power, then train more side branches and twigs to enhance the wind blowing effect. Form more irregular shape of the foliage shape, more void spaces, avoid the one straight line between the top canopy and the lower foliage pad (you can lengthen the lower branches)...

Thanks Robert for the detailed tutorial.
I'll do what you said.
Many thanks also for the posted photo of your windswept tree as example, I was looking (as always) at these trees of yours from your books (I even used magnifying glass to study the smallest details), but the detailed info you gave today provided a much detailed illustration and explanation not given in your book. I really appreciate the kindness.

Looking forward to your future teachings.

regards,
