Singalonga Village People... don't forget the arm actions

Post  Tony on Sat Nov 05, 2011 4:01 pm

Young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy.

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

They have everything that you need to enjoy,
You can hang out with all the boys ...

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.

You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal
You can do whatever you feel ...

Young man, are you listening to me?
I said, young man, what do you want to be?
I said, young man, you can make real your dreams.
But you've got to know this one thing!

No man does it all by himself.
I said, young man, put your pride on the shelf,
And just go there, to the Y.M.C.A.
I'm sure they can help you today.

You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal,
You can do whatever you feel ...

Young man, I was once in your shoes.
I said, I was down and out with the blues.
I felt no man cared if I were alive.
I felt the whole world was so jive ...

That's when someone came up to me,
And said, young man, take a walk up the street.
It's a place there called the Y.M.C.A.
They can start you back on your way.

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A.
They have everything that you need to enjoy,
You can hang out with all the boys ...

YMCA
It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A
Young man, young man there's no need to feel down
Young man, young man pick yourself off the ground

Y-M-C-A
then just go to the Y-M-C-A
young man, young man I was once in your shoes
young man, young man I said, I was down and out with the blues.
Y-M-C-A

Choose the MOUSTACHE Will should grow for Charity

Post  will baddeley on Mon Nov 07, 2011 12:24 am

Took this at silly O'clock this morning after working through the night.Moustache is not too clear but it's coming along well. £150.00 raised so far and a big thanks to those who have donated so far. Donating takes about a minute to do and just a small amount will make all the difference. Very Happy http://uk.movember.com/mospace/1889566/

What's really scary, Todd, is that it still endures to this very day. Maybe not in clubs, but certainly just about everyone in the UK could sing it and do the actions even although the song gets roundly laughed at.

I'm sure the only laughing the Village People are doing is on their way to the bank. Wink

Anyway, Will, now that I'm seeing some mo-vement in the face fuzz department, I'm suggesting you go for the full Jason King.

Day 8 and another 3 weeks to go. I have had a few suggestions to colour my Mo with our work colour. What do you think about National Probation Sevice Purple? Please donate and leave a comment for your colour and the most votes will chose the colour. Thankyou.

will baddeley wrote:Day 3.Is this the face of a happy Mo Bro? I don't think so!!!! As much as I appreciate the generous donatios of 2 of my friends (1 Scottish and renowned for their squeaky purses), I need more friends to hop on board. If you want to change this sad face to a smile, then get your donations flowing please for this great cause

That's the same face my grandson makes when he's filling his diaper! (without the three day facial growth, of course!)

I'm digging the Blue Man Group look!

OK, when do you need donations by and, without breaking the wallet what are you needing. It might take a while for US funds to make the trip! Where do I sign up? (I missed it while being a goof ball!)

That's a good thing. I don't think I could afford postage to mail 1 pound, never mind 10!

I will have to hit it tonight or this weekend. I'm busy from now until Sunday with celebrating the 236th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. (Killing off the slower brain cells!)

Thanks for that one Tony and thanks to Jerry for his donation. Would be fantastic to hit £300.00 by the end of the month. £10.00 for every day in Movember. Please donate something to Prostate cancer research http://uk.movember.com/mospace/1889566/
