That snow is wet and heavy. You might want to rescue some of your more fragile trees or you're likely to have broken branches.

I was wondering if we would start seeing some snow covered trees from this weekends storm. I grew up in New England and even though I was happy to sit here in Upstate NY and watch SOMEBODY ELSE get the white stuff, I was still addicted to the coverage, Nor-easters are just in my blood I guess.

Styling to make branches look sagging and bent from years of snowfall is better done with wire I think, although I suppose we could call this naturalistic approach? Laughing

A long ways from New England (around Washington DC) but still got 6" of snow. Enough to take the top of a 50 foot tall maple right down. That tree looked like a weeping willow. Still had a full compliment of foliage, and does still.
I took a few shots during and after the snowfall.

Yes Jim, the snow was pretty heavy. I cleared them off just as soon as I finished taking the picture. The only "casualty" was a tall pine that got knocked over from the wind and then buried in snow. No damage to the tree, it was wired though, just had to "tidy" it up. Most all the snow has already melted.
