Nice materials Sam, I suggest you put them in larger training pots.

Have you looked at the plastic mixing tubs sold by the big box stores? (Lowes or Home Depot in my area)

An occasional hospital visit is useful. If they let you take home your washing basin, it makes an excellent training pot with some holes cut in it.

Just a sugestion:

You can use these plastic boxes for your big trees. They are easely available and they are lightweight, have fantastic drainage, and if you use a big grain kind of soil, it's wonderful to develop new roots just like you have when using a colander, and that's what you want with a yamadori.
I show you an example with an olive tree of mine.
