Wow, the deadwood on that bantigue is amazing! Is that all hand-carved?

Thanks Binggregory, almost all of it, except in the dead branches at the right side which i used a power tool for that..bingregory wrote:Wow, the deadwood on that bantigue is amazing! Is that all hand-carved?

Hi Ferdz.
The "Kalyos"- Streblus a. and "Bantigue" Phempis a., got a good future as of now. Don't rush it, just keep on studying more trees and group planting. The deadwood though on the Phempis acidula looks too artificial, you can deal with it in the future if you want to design your own tree. or ask somebody to do a minor workshop for it to look more natural if you wanted it done sooner. But don't practice on it, it is a good tree. Just probably the planting angle needs to be adjusted and foliage pads too to give it some character to jibbed with the trunk character.

jun

Re: "Something New on the Top"
Thank You Bro, Actually, i been starting some workshop in all of this stuffs, specially in this Phempis, i made some carving manually and with the use of a power tool, as an initial configuration, as for me. "there is no other experience than to do it yourself", that is why i been using all of my trees in practicing, i.e. carving, wiring, designing..hehe , i do made some research too, just like what you've said with those author's that you mentioned, i really appreciate all your suggestions, thank you..jun wrote:Hi Ferdz.

Re: "Something New on the Top"
You are welcome.
That is very nice to hear. "Doing bonsai" is way lot better than "collecting Bonsai". Just keep visiting their sites and look closely branch by branch twigs by twigs you'll learn a lot. Then some trees you perceived to be good won't be that good anymore, They will appear to be trees with different trunks with the same canopies ...But you won't win in a contest if you follow their style. Save the winning in the future (if you wish), hehehe.

Re: "Something New on the Top"
the trees are very nice - the plastic toys dont do such nice trees any favours though - in the first the scale is ruined with a little plastic bird many times bigger than the gorilla !! unless they were a joke for the pictures maybe? Good for you though using these trees to learn and practice on, it is the best way to appreciate them and be proud

Very nice and good trees you have there, the carving and designing you made in your phempis, the protruding root of your ficus, thats really amazing, your bignay, i suggest that you do some spa on it, in order to produce a finer leaves, your forest i like it too, nice arrangement you have there and last but not the least your amazing cascade, i like it very much and it seem that you really enjoying the way you use and form part the plastic animals and birds too, you actually playing on your bonsai tree..thats nice
