I don't know if you are not aware of this, but, there is a national bonsai gathering in Vietnam right now. Mr. Lo Min Hsuan, Budi Sulistyo, Chen Tsan Sing, Bobby Gopiao and other international bonsai masters/personalities are in your country at this precise moment.

Well, you know the event so well indeed ! All names you said are judges of the bonsai show in HochiMinh city. This is the first time the bonsai show in VN has foreign judges. I 'll shown the photos of the show later.

Nhà hát quân đội means MILITARY THEATHER located in Ho Chi Minh city where the bonsai convention is taking place

that looks quite a show - the penjing on page 13 are some of the best and most convincing i've seen - very natural and believable scenes. i really like the trees with black dead wood and the pale live vein as well- a refreshing change to the usual white.

Welcome Qui, I wish that these kind of things would be advertised ahead of time. Instead we see it on the news or in the newspapers after it's over!!!!!! I am one of the very few expats living in Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen and have a few nice larger trees, one of which is a fukien tea which I have had for 3 years now.
I would like to be in touch with you because we travel to Saigon every few months, I would be interested in meeting you and looking at your trees in the future.
In the next few weeks we are going to a friends farm to look over some large older ficus and possibly dig one for me to work on. I am looking forward to that trip very much!

I hope the event was a success. From what I hear, the juniper demostrations from Mr. Lo, Mr. Tang and Budi were a success. They also enjoyed the traditional dinner.
