When to defoliate willow leaf ficus
I cut my ficus to just a couple banches and root trimmed it 8 months ago and since it has grown like crazy and has a large canopy. Should i let it grow more or can I work on it some? I was planning on partial defoliate so I get chose the right branches and wire it. Also im going to bring them in because the weather starting to get below 70 degrees(spends the winter in my green house) ill try and get pics later

Unless you have a carefully temperature-controlled greenhouse, it's probably too late in the year to do any major work on a fig tree. The best time to work on them is in the heat of summer. You should be able to defoliate twice a summer in Virginia -- once in late June and then again in mid to late august.
But not now.

my green house is actually a sunroom attached to my house so it stays around 75 degrees and relatively humid,I modified it to be a greenhouse. So I should ok right
