Is that a link or a posted image as it doesn't seem to be working on my system. It's just showing as a reference to someone's C-drive. (C:\Users\family\Pictures\2011-09-05\155.JPG)

Actually, no. Any garden centre usually stocks them (only at certain times of year) and they're not expensive at all. It's a bog standard garden plant nowadays.

They flower at different times of year, but you'll find the winter-flowering ones (winter in the UK that is) in the garden centres in the run up to Christmas, which let's face it is any time from now onwards! The two common ones you can buy here are
C. hederifolium (ivy-leaved) and C. persicum.

Just a wee plea - please buy from a reputable garden centre or nursery (i.e. one that operates a sustainable policy) as this is a plant which has been decimated in some European countries because of uscrupulous "traders" digging them up in huge quantities from the wild to sell on to unwary gardeners.

If you look after the tubers well, you should be able to prolong their lifespan.

But make sure you get frost hardy ones as some are really only intended as houseplants. To be honest, I'd say go to a plant nursery rather than a garden centre (there are several online ones based in the UK - just google) as they generally more knowledgeable and you will be sure of getting an outdoor one.

Generally, the bigger blousy ones are houseplants and the smaller ones are outdoor plants.

I have little success with them as they don't like the wet that we get here in the west of Scotland.
