New tree ID.... anyone please?
So I got this little tree a few months ago, I think its some kind of boxwood but I'm uncertain about it. Can anyone throw their two cents in here please? Thanks!

I agree boxwood, but I don't recognize the variety.

Yes. Boxwood. But you need to get it into better soil ASAP. It will not do well in that pot with that dirt. Also, clean up those surface roots.

Thanks for the help guys!. A boxwood will be for now on.
Jim, I forgot to mention that this is the original condition when I got it. This little fella has been doing really well on my own soil mix since I got it. I will post new pictures an a virtual gallery today as soon as I can. Yesterday I did its first trimming and repoting to a nice little pot. BTW this will be a nice shohin, 6.75" tall 1.25" trunk, 2.75 nebari, pretty much a formal upright broom style.

The elongated leaf reminds me of Buxus Harlandii .
