Got a bit of confuse over the 2 names. Both are refereed as Okinawa Holly.
Hope to get some explanations from those who know.

Thanks

Okinawa holly is Ilex dimorphophylla. Malpighia coccigera is known as Singapore holly, because its leaves are slightly holly shaped. It is neither a holly nor is it from Singapore. It is from the Caribbean and has pink flowers.
The true hollies all belong to the genus Ilex, so it is easy to tell.
