This Pemphis has very nice trunk line and can be a nice cascade, but the problem is the finishing line which grows downward and it's too rigid to bend.

So the only way to improve the line is by repositioning...

Hi Robert!
I think it is better in the new form rather than a cascade...too ordinary to be a cascade. but in the current form, the movement is more fluid. IMHO

I like it better too, except the rock. Did you add rocks on the left side? I actually like the rock better in the first picture. Does it need rock at all?

I get that, but does it have to have that much rock? Sorry, maybe it's me, but it's distracting to the rest of the tree.

With this particular pemphis, the rock is part and parcel of the tree, you can only remove the rock by crushing it and if you do so,you might kill the tree.

So you're telling me that with all the pemphis we see here on this forum that the rocks are unaltered???

Mostly yes. Just to show you how Pemphis normally grow on rock. Most of the roots system are inside the rock, crushing the rock will likely kill the tree; however, on rock is part of the Pemphis' characters...

Yes Russell. mostly. Phempis acidula that has the best of form and characters are the ones that grows in rocky environment, and usually the hardest to collect.
