Plectranthus ernestii bonsai

Post  Ki113rMi113r on Wed Aug 03, 2011 4:19 pm

I received a plectranthus ernestii bonsai as a gift. I need to know detailed information on it and care information. Does it lose it's leaves during the winter? Also, is there any general bonsai information that I need to know about, because I'm new at bonsai care.

Plectranthus is Swedish ivy. It is essentially a houseplant.

So it doesn't need to go dormant and water when the plant gets dry?

Matt, I think what Iris is saying is that just because it's in a bonsai pot doesn't make it bonsai. You need to post that question on a caudex/succulent forum if you can't find the info you need in a simple search.

Plectranthus ernstii

The correct spelling is Plectranthus ernstii, but you can find plenty of information by Googling under both spellings.
Some succulents require dormancy, others do not. You will have to look it up.
