I think the first tree would be helped by early removal of buds that will open touching it's neighbor. learning how to leave good spaces "void" of color will make a difference.

Colorful canopies on the trees. Most probably a people's choice at most shows. ThumbsUp

The photography is excellent too - well done. Like the side light on the second shot a lot.

in late january 2011, a friend and I collected 68, 30-40 year old bougainvillea. the trees were heavily reduced and planted. within weeks budding started triggering additional trunk work to refine the stumps for future bonsai development. folks criticized this work as too invasive- predicting many would die. little leeway was considered for local knowledge/common practice. 6 months later, all 68 trees are thriving. pictures of a few.

Fantastic work, i am trully without words, out of 68, all 68 still alive, and with that age range and the shapes and bark, and your hands to work on them, that garden will be amazing in the near future, thanks for showing, if you have the time, have a look at my litle one in my last thread, thanks again Smile
