Club member moving to Ipswich

Post  AlainK on Sat Jul 16, 2011 10:48 am

Hello,

A member of our club is moving to Ipwich for professional reasons.

He would like to bring his trees with him, and he'd like to know about the procedures (does he need sanitary certificates for his trees, are there quarantine periods, etc.?)

Any info would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I'm actually the person Alain is talking about. I just joined IBC.

Yes, this is Ipswich in UK because I will work in Sizewell, at the nuclear power station, and i'm thinking I could settle in Ipswich.
I should move there before September, and I still have no idea how to bring my bonsai trees so any advice will be welcome.

Thank you.

Hello Nicojiao. As far as I know you are allowed to move trees and plants freely around the EU, with no quarantine needed.
Welcome to Suffolk. Very Happy
