Hi, my friends
After the warm reception here in the forum, i feel encoraged to show you one of my bigest and newest project, this one is still no more than a massive stump, recovered from the building works going at a friend's villa, it has started over a week ago to throw shoots all over it's surface, wich is a great sign of a speedy recovery after all that it's been put thru, here go some pictures off it's arrival at my home, and after i reduced the multitude of trunks to a more asimetrical look:

I hope you like this base, and advice on design is more than welcome, for the next year is going to be left to grow and recover the roots that were lost, lots of rest and organic fertilizer, the white guy on the picture is my assistant, Laughing

Hello Ferdy San,
Some fun for the coming years.
I feel on the right side it could be lower.
Maybe you could cut the right branch almost to the trunk, not totally.
And remove one of the tree remaining on the right side.
And then see what the tree does with new branches next season,
he will show you the way.

...Compared to the size of your big dog perched on the bougaivilla on pic #4 I think it is really huge. Shocked

you got to reduce the number of trunks (I think) to prepare for more branches.

jun Smile

Hello friends,
my large bougaivillia has, since the rescue put on a lot of new growth, wich makes me very happy, Very Happy , but now the really hard work is going to start, and i am filling like i bit more than what i can shew,(due to my inexperience, and sheer size of the piece), but, how well, even knowing it is going to be hard, i am willing to give it a go, so to start with i decided to give some movement to some of the branches that i will hopefully use in my design adventure, remove some branches that cross the way of the previous ones, but not a lot, because i think it is importante to get a good root system first, what i am humbly asking is for a general idea on how to style it so i have some direction on the way to follow, please feel free to criticise and advice, the size of the tree as it stands is 140 cm nebari perimeter, aproximatly 80 cm high from soil level to the top of the green and around 100 cm wide, help, pleaseeeeeee....thank you.

Scary looking beast!

Japs are right! Europeans are going nuts with their huge trees.

Please continue.

Good luck finding a pot, repotting, and moving. This is exactly why I am trading my larger material for smaller ones (and I am not that old).

Hello Ferdy-San,
Take your time, the tree will show you the way.
From pictures it is hard to tell how to proceed with this one.
There must be some other bonsai lovers there in the Algarve to give you advise in front of the tree?
I see you already wired some shoots down, as i mentioned in an earlier post i would cut some big branches
further down.
Maybe the new shoots can indicate where to cut.
Fun tree!
