Re: My ficus are infested please advise.
Hi...
Are the trunk also had those white spot?I've never seen such in my ficus.but i think you should check on your medium & repot to a more porous mix, check if your roots have the same white fungus if it has, you're overwatering and have less sunlight where that ficus is located.Once you repot defoliate it and put it in a shaded area to recover.Brush the whole tree with detergent mix water for cleaning & disenfecting it.It'll recover soon, hope this will help
Regards,
Alex

PkWk,
Your ficus has a horrible infestation of scale insects. I have had not similar problems with mine, but, if this occured to me, I will do the following:
I suspect this tree has not been getting enough sun light.
1) Remove all leaves
2) Thoroughly scrub the entire tree with insecticidal soap (form your pictures, the scale have propagated to the trunk)
3) Transplant it to a porous mix
4) Place it in full sun to encourage growth
Kind regards,
Jose Luis

My Ficus are Infested
Provado is Imidacloprid. It is available here as Bayer's (I forget the rest of the name) in a blue plastic bottle.

Thank you very much for the info.
My ficus are growing as healthy as they can be now. I may post some photos of them later.
