Re: Noob here, my pots
Hi All,
Just wanted to put in a good word for Kitoi and his pots. I recently purchased a mame pot from him, and was very happy with the quick and friendly service. It's refreshing to see potters trying new techniques and improving their pottery on the forum, so keep it up!
Best Regards,
Bonsaimeister

Good idea putting the crackle glaze on a mud-cracked clay surface. I guess that's what it is. Keep on keeping on bud.

Hello Kitoi, I have just been perusing your pot photographs, your pots are beautiful and the textures so diverse. It would be great to see some of your work in use.

1.5" deep oval, in the process of cleaning the roots from the trunk
1" deep round
1.25" deep round
As you can see I don't do trees, my thing is succulents. Getting ready for the winter show next month.
Appreciate it everyone!
Rob,
Which oval do you speak of? I don't remember....
Preston,
All the crack comes from the pot, it's regular ol' glaze

Nice to see some succulents in your pots, too many have trees in on this Forum !!!!!
Which Show did you exhibit in???
I was over last year for the CSSA Convention in Phoenix, there were some great pots for sale there, but too heavy to carry back on the plane
Thanks for showing
Graham

Trees are traditional, succulents are the stepchild of bonsai ;o)
The Inter-City show in L.A. was the last show I entered, the biggest C&S event of the western states. You can see a lot of unusual succulents all going toward more bonsai like stagings. Missed the Phoenix CSSA, going to try and attend San Diego next year.
