Hi to all.
This is my first hibiscus that came from taiwan last 2007.  Unfortunately this hibiscus is not the good variety. So I decided to graft it with good one. Not so familiar what is the latin name. But the nodes are bit shorter than the original.this image was taken in kaoushung taiwan before going here in manila

Hi Ogi Uyehara,

Great tree. The species you used for grafting is the same, only with shorter internodes. Believe me, it makes a difference. Maybe you should find Talipariti Tiliaceus (new name for Hibiscus Tiliaceus) near your area. Some of the best collected specimens from Taiwan came originally from your country. You can then graft the smaller leaves.

Good job,

Jose Luis

excellent tree! Ogi.
I also have the same species but has poor ramification and thin trunk. Do you only use garden soil or its better to use volcanic cinder/river sand? What type of fertillizer do you advice for that kind of tree and every when should I apply? Very Happy
