Not the species I prefer : C. horizontalis is deciduous, so it's easier to put it into shape, whereas if one can be tempted by the smaller leaves of C. microphylla, it's more difficult to work with because it keeps its leaves in the winter.

Anyway, I started it, so I carry on...

April 2005 :

After drastic pruning, putting it on a volcanic stone from "Massif Central", and a bit of wiring :

In the future, I might remove the Chinaman and replace it with a moustachioed dark-haired man in a striped pullover riding a bicycle and carrying onions for a more unconventinal display. cyclops

Hi Alain, I love the fact that you are keeping up the concept of creating bonsai that reflect your national identity... any chance that the moustachioed dark-haired man could smell of garlic have bad breath and be very rude. Neutral
