I love native trees, these photo's show why. I hope you like the tree.
Had it just over a year now, flowered well last year and this. Just gone into a John Pitt pot earlier this spring, absolutely love this glaze.

Yes, bought it off him back end of 2009/very early 2010 i think. In an oval training pot.
Sounds like you know the tree Lee? One of your old ones ?

It is one of my old ones,collected 2006 i think,may even have a few pics,its got the oldest bark you'll see,a proper little welsh beauty

It really is a beauty, you are right there and as you say, the bark is ancient.
I looked back last night and found i had it from Steve in Feb 2010, i meant to buy it in the previous November when i had a day w/shop with him on another tree, but forgot about it til the new year. Glad everyone else walked past it, their loss Smile

It sounds like you liked this little tree, rest assured it's gone to a good home, it will be worked on at it's own pace whenever the time is right for the tree. No fast fix bonsai here, it's here to stay and i will enjoy it every step of the way.

If you could let me have some early pics, i would be well pleased.
