Show us your wind protection.
After last summer's hot and dry winds i need to build protection from the wind for my maples i'd like to see what everyone has done for ideas. Thanks!

No photos available so far this season, however, my small lot is oriented east to west, 40 feet by 150 feet. All of my trees sit east of may garage and/or extra shed. Most storms hit from the west or southwest so the buildings block most of the wind. I also place the larger trees to the rear of my displays and they help shelter the smaller ones. As for sun, most get full sun from early morning until 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Those that like the shade are either tucked under the canopies of my larger tres or they are staged under my back yard cherry tree.

Again no pictures but bamboo/reed screening and wooden trellis work well for me. It does not of course stop wind but does diffuse greatly, rather than attempting to block, which can in some circumstances be just as bad.
