Split/ Scarred branch on Fukien
I recently tried to begin training a branch on my new Fukien. I tried to coax one of my mid-level branches to a more pleasing position, which should make the tree look perfect... But in my desire to "fix" the tree, I split the branch right where the branch meets the trunk. It is still quite solid, and after 2 days, the leaves are still green and appear healthy. I knew that Fukien branches are brittle when they get woody, but it almost made it. If the vascular system is still intact, can the branch be saved? Is there anything common (household) that I can apply to keep out infection? If I have to lose the branch, what is the best way to do it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have repaired breaks with wire, tape and Gorilla Glue. The branch will never be as strong as it would have been but if you can get Gorilla Glue in the break, let it foam up, get hard, and then gently remove the excess you will not see the break.
