Tropical - Deciduous by Light not lack of water.

Okay here is proof that Tropical trees [ at least this type ] are deciduous by changing light and not the onset of the dry season.

Collected this from a drain / man-made ravine [ for Will ] and have yet to identify the tree. We are still in a rainy season, but day by day from January the tree kept dropping leaves and now it is totally dormant [ or dead, we will find out Laughing with time ]

Apart from the above, I am hoping for excellent nebari and to follow the examples of the great winter tracery seen on northern trees.
I have no idea, with regards to this tree's ability to densify, so I am going tall.
Tidied the roots somewhat and looking at 5 years of growing.

Part of the excitement of new species, is the research and the other is the discovery, love it!
