Azalea 2007 ( owner friend Mirek)

Hi all

Today I worked on Azalea. The owner is a friend Mirek.
The tree was bought in autumn 2007. Unfortunately, the tree grew very poorly. After transplanting, everything improved. Tree trunk is very good. Unfortunately, the crown was bad and a lot of bumps in the top of the crown. In March 2010 we startedto build the tree again ,almost from the beginning . Especially, we modified the strain at the top. Eventually I worked for a new style of crown.

Great tree Paval! In the last picture are you looking through your hand? I really like how it turned out. I formed my hand in the shape of a C and that is what it looks like.

I love seeing how in one styling session, all the existing foliage can be arranged to become such a pleasing form. Only a true, gifted artist can pull this off successfully. Once again, great work. Your posts are so inspiring for a beginner.

Very nice transformation of the crown.
You are not only good in evergreen but in other species as well.
Do you know the variety of this Azakeas?

I left a lot of buds - flowers. Cut the branches at the end of flowering.
Pot sells Isabelia BC-pot made of ceramics artist Mr.Pravoslav Dorda. Unfortunately, very little work. It is an old pot.
Unfortunately I do not know what version of Azalea. I'll ask a friend.

Nice work there,maybe for me i would take out the lower fronting branch,i like to see more of the trunk,it's a beautiful tree,great pot also.

Yes, the lower branch is needed to shorten. But the owner che enjoy flowers. Therefore later.

Pavel, once again you did a great job! It is really taking shape and evolving into an excellent tree!

Do you have an idea why initially the tree was growing very poorly? And what exactly reversed it? Anything specifice after which it started to grow well?

Hi Andrei - Greatly improved tree growth after transplanting. It was originally 100% Kanuma. It was wrong for us. We used only 50% Kanuma. Added turf, akadama, mountain gravel. Then place in full sun.

and I have a question maybe 50% 50% acidic Kanuma peat, it would be good to have you on this sentence

I hear that in drier climates, 100% kanuma retains too little moisture. I guess one would really have to water a lot during peak summer if it is in full sun in pure kanuma.

Looks pretty skillfully styled.
