Very very nice Jim!!!! An old one too by the looks of the trunk size. These beauties are used far too little anymore. Do you know the cultivar?

Nope. It was a cutting from my yard in Tallahassee. The parent came from a Tallahassee nursery and was labeled "White Flowering Quince - Chanomeles speciosa.

What belongs in the kiri box?

I no longer remember, for sure. I think it was a jade bowl we bought in HK in the 50s. It now does double duty as an attractive stand for this tree and holds computer CDs. <g>

Jim,,That is a very nice tree!! I love the flowers..up here you can only find sticks but they do get some flowers....How is the weather holding down there??? we are going to get more snow next week they say.. i hope it is not that way for you..like the tree take care john

It's going to cool down a bit, but no snow. Just rain this weekend and again in midweek next week.
