Re: Fuji Cherry in Flower
Alexandra,
4 years ago i bought two of them at a sale in a normal garden center.
Prunus Incisa - koyo no mai
The one on the picture has above the nerbari a 2,5 cm diameter.
I feel Ian is right saying, they only take up real girth in the ground.
I potted them in pond baskets and put them each year after flowering in the ground,
but in winter they are in the greenhouse.
Eventually i will shohin them.
regards, Sunip;)

Mine's just about reaching the end of flowering. A few shots taken today can be seen here. Fuji near the end

Hello Ian,
You got already leaves coming, yes that is the end of flowering, you must have a heated greenhouse.
Do i understand right that you repot cherry before flowering and not after?

Hi Sunip,
No not heated, in fact it's been out and in over the last 4 weeks depending on the forecast. I repotted before flowering on this one as the leaves follow so close behind the flowers. Repotting before seemed like the sensible thing to do.

Nice tree and cute flowers. I just bought some seedlings and hoping to have some flowers after maybe ten years.
Thanks for sharing.
