Shell 2010 Empty Shell 2010

Post  Pavel Slovák Sat Dec 04, 2010 1:45 pm

Hi all
Ceramics I'm not, but I like to share with you the joy of the production of my new shell-pot. It is intended for a specific pine. I'm glad I kept it together. I tried to imitate the lichen on the stone. The plate is 51 cm wide. Firing - electric furnace 1150 ° C.

Hi Pavel

Good pot, but if you have fired only to 1150c then you will have to protect it from the frost my friend. Hope your all well

Most of us have felt this kind of joy in one way or another....
So, I believe we all feel happy with your joy and you did very well to share it with IBC. And your produce is very good.
And this is fired clay which you have then painted, is this right, Pavel?

Hi Andy, Thank you so much for the compliment. I appreciate it. Temperature, perhaps this will suffice. I do not know, but I'll see.Very Happy Very Happy

Hi Alexandra - thank you very much for your nice replies and compliment. The first firing was at 900 ° C. Then paint. Then the second firing at 1150 ° C.

Hi Pavel,
I really like the 3 snakes pot, hopefully the pot doesn't steal the show and the tree is powerful enough to be the focal point of the composition.
Cheers

Nice concept Pavel. The snake that sticks out from the bottom will be very delicate and could easily break off.

I made a snake pot almost 10 years ago. Now holds a snake root style (Ebi nebari) Willow Leaf Ficus raft.

The pot is finished in the kiln.

We had little clay. I've worked on a new small pot. Even kiln.
