Budding Honeysuckle

Post  AndyRutledge on Fri Feb 18, 2011 11:02 pm

After the Snowpocalypse here in the Dallas area a couple weeks ago, we're experiencing 80F temps. My honeysuckle has decided it's time to break free of winter sleep.

Love the tree Andy. Oodles of character and charm... I also loved the human face in the tree (see pic below) eyes, nose, mouth, beard et all.... Great tree....

Beautiful tree Andy. What kind of Lonicera is it?

Yes, the face was created by Nick. For my money it is one of his more successful faces, as the body of the tree is very anthropomorphic.

No idea what variety of Lonicera it is, but Nick says it has white flowers (if that helps). This is half of the base of the 12' tall structure that was collected by Nick.
