Taxodium Distichum - Bunjin
Hi IBC,
Had seen in Singapore, plants mainly junipers styled as Dragons, Chinese calligraphy and Good luck symbols. Inspired by that, have styled Taxodium Distichum as ‘OM” and planted it in a conch. Can this be called a bonsai in Bunjin style? What are the limitations of the Bunjin style or is it limitless?
Regards,
Mohan.

Mohan,
Literati style, may simply be the thoughts the image stimulate.
[ watch the blue, it is a bit distracting, and the shell as stark white isn't helping too much.]
I like the idea, would love to see this tree in about 20 years+.
Nice to have the mind stretched a bit.
Thanks for showing.

Shell is not a conch (Strombus sp.). Looks more like a Tun shell, (Malea sp.).
I'd get rid of (or shorten) one of those topmost branches. They are too mirror-image like.
