Karl and Chris,
both of these larches are exciting trees. The fox skull adds a wonderful element. I had a beaver skull residing on my benches ... until the rodents got into it and ate part of it.

They dont last here. They live for three seasons before dying. I think it gets to hot in the summer, but I am not exactly sure.

Hi Pavel
The Larch is the hybrid "Dunkeld", a cross between European and Japanese, this is the only species that I am aware that is planted these days.
Your wild stuff is a different animal having darker and better bark and it seems to ramify better than ours. There is always a down side and that is that it is much harder to bend with out it snapping. Our hybrid is very forgiving. But what a great species to work with it must be one of the best species, European or the Hybrid.

Wouldn't it first need something like ceramic statues of a Priest and an alter boy displayed with it?.....

Beautiful trees and composition Karl!

i really like this, great movement in the branches, the smallest tree on the left looks like it's about to pounce on something. the fox skull only makes this better, it compliments the spooky feeling perfectly. or the trees compliment the skull, either way!
