Interesting position. But the theme is not obvious. [color:97f2=#000]Should be SUISEKI as you are willing to express a major part of the theme. For example, a lake, the mountains, is a tree. Not necessarily to forgive. Send a map for reference.

About[color=#000] ?????[color:8ed4=#000]
I do not know. Possible problem in the forum.
You picture theme should be SUISEKI, a monkey in that the subject is a monkey, SUISEKI
Not obvious, the primary and secondary reversed

Hi Ogie... If I understand Wang Jun, he suggests that the "water stone" (shui-shi) should be the main object while secondary objects should add to the stone's image-- perhaps by clarifyng it or adding seasonal allusion. If the stone is unclear, then adding fishermen or a fish is not improving the view for the imagination. For example, does the stone represent "a hut on a coastal rock" or does it represent "a shady tree on a piece of ground?" The fisherman do not clarify between these images. We easily see a fishing scene as primary due to secondary objects, but the stone is an indefinite-- and therefore arguably "secondary"-- element within that image.
Wang Jun must use a button above the "text box" when "Posting a reply" or "Editing a message" to change color of text. Among the buttons, it is the button with three rows and three columns of colored dots-- the sixth button from the right.
The Chinese characters shui + shi "water + stone" translate in automated translations from Chinese into English as the Japanese word suiseki. That is unfortunate as this stone & root-carving composition has little in common with Japanese suiseki-style appreciation.

I think the accents are very well-crafted, Ogie. The best looks like naturally contoured root wood which suggests the form of a fishermen rather than crafted to look a totally realistic miniature. It is as interesting to me as suiseki or shui-shi, & it is an appropriate complement for either. Naturally contoured root wood with modest sculpting in Japan is most associated with ritual sencha (steeped tea) practice prior to World War II & going back to literati gatherings for sencha-style tea going back centuries. Chinese root wood sculpting which takes advantage of natural contour reaches back to artists combining both folklore & literati subjects (sages, accessories of sages, lingzhi fungus forms et al.) with objects from nature with resonant meaning. Many animals & plants are associated with homophones (similarly pronounced words) which carry auspicious wishes.

Awesome photos, and study mate, I must say that I now have very high expectations! This looks nice, and I am sure it tastes better. I am sure you have been busy getting things, but I know that this is an incredible event and its worth!
