Hi Heven... Thanks for sharing. In addition to its color, its size & weight are impressive for viewing--18.5cm x 23.5cm x 13cm (7.28" x 9.25" x 5.12"), 7.80kg (17.20 lbs)!

A most delicious looking stone! Made my mouth water, thanks for showing. I find many stones in the Rogue River very similar in size and shape, mostly basalt and granite, tumbled volcanic remains, red and green jaspers, but none with such exquisite color as this stone. I noted the twist of rope for a base. My first attempt to fashion a diaza was a stone shaped like this and frankly I found it quite a difficult project due to there being no flats or edges to work against. The base needed to be very precisely fashioned to the bottom of the stone and it will only fit in exactly that position. Are there other means of displaying these egg shaped stones? I have collected quite a few, and each one is unique in itself, don't know why they seem to jump out at me when I'm down at the river.

Another Chinese solution to a base for an egg shaped stone.

Hi Rkatzin

This an another way to exhibit a stone with this shape.....a small round silkpillow, carefully weighted with sand, to fit/hold the stone.

Kind regards Yvonne....
I found this stone in the Alps, A Red Peach, Shape Stone, Just Picked From River Sten_110the lover part is marble.
