I read on Bonsai4me:
"In early Summer the Fukien Tea produces minute white flowers that go on to form small black berries"
Is this entirely true?
I have a few ones. And ive never seen berries. The trees I have produces flowers all year. When they have been there a few days, they wither and fall off. And new ones come. And its barelly producing branches. One of them grew out alot of leaves, on the already existing branches. But nothing more.
They fell very fast off when left a bit too long before watering.
So, how can I aid it to produce the berries? Does it need a bigger pot, and higher age?

Edit: Seems like the dryness can be a reason that it produces flowers all year round here.

Storm,

the berries are actually translucent carnelian [ cornelian ] red, and partially why I like Fukien Teas. I also like carnelians [ the natural stuff, I get from Oregon.]
As they dry they go to black.

Try taking a soft brush and touching the flower, then touching another, see if it is just pollen missing.
I have never really looked to see if there are any insects on the flowers, but I will keep closer watch over the next two weeks, let you know.

If that does not work, it's warmth and light most probably.

Hey, once they are healthy, be happy.

* On ny side, Caribbean, I give the Fukien Teas full sun and I get flowers berries on the smallest leaf and the biggest leaf, the inbetween leaf, rarely produces berries and they have never germinated.
The small and big leaf ones germinate easily and all the time, the birds do it.

Part of your problem is growing conditions. Here in the tropics mine flower most of the time and do produce some berries, not a lot though. Having said that, we just went through a very long brutal summer being followed now by a long cold dark wet monsoon season. Dormant followed by dormant=nothing. Last week we had one and a half days of warmth and sun, followed by one flower which lasted 2 days (the mites quickly ate it). Age, probably to a degree - heat humidity and sun helps. I feed mine monthly a balanced fertalizer, most of the time but when the temps are above 90 all the time or freezing like now for months (ok, low to mid 60's) there isn't much use.
