I have several scots pines. A nice little one is covered with these wretched things. and they leave a nasty bald patch at the end of the year.
if i cut them off -with it backbud at the base of the growth ? any advice on timing this ?
or - what do i do with them ?

Take all of them off with tweesers but ONE.
Feed well, and you should be O.K.
