Please, can you help me ?

Post  Toche on Sat Dec 18, 2010 10:32 am

Hello everyone, Smile

My name is Michel Otto, I live in Belgium.

I will like to have your opinion for a pot for this tree.

Which pot for this big Ulmus parvifolia ?
Do you have an idea ?

Thank you for your assistance. Wink

Michel,

I'd look for a pot that showed a little more soil surface area and nebari, it looks very cramped to me (like a fat lady who can't wait to get out of her girdle). I think a pot with a lip would also be softer and help balance the mass of this tree. The pot needs depth, but it doesn't need to be so chunky.

This is a pot of mine, I'm not saying that it's the solution but an option to start the discussion. It's probably too soft, especially the feet.

I'm eager to see other opinions.

Hello Michel

Many greetings to Belgium! You've got a real nice tree there!
I've done a quick virtual with a partly "altered/damaged" pot from Klaudia.
I tried to select a pot that is suitable for the tree with leaves too.

I hope you like it!

Kind regards
Martin

Russell, John and Martin,

Thank you for your assistance like for your reception, (your hospitality) Wink

all these pots improve the aspect of the tree

Martin, I like very much this Klaudia's pot with a partly damaged.
It's appropriate with the aspect of the tree and its uro-miki

Hello Morea Smile

Thank you for your kindness.
Forgive me for my English, it is little complicated for me.

I agree with you, the pot John is as well sure very beautiful. Again, thank you John. Wink
I like much his colors
If it had a lip, it would be appropriate still better for this tree

I will present a flower a little bit special for Satsuki.
When it opens, it looks like a rosebud

Michel, the pot I used in the virtual is one of Horst Heinzlreiter's pots.
